Chairman's Message

The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC), is an industry driven non-profit organization, set up under the aegis of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and governed by 14 major textile industry associations & export promotion councils and has representatives from Textile Research Associations and NSDC on its board. TSC got its certification of incorporation on 22nd August, 2014. TSC is committed to develop world class skilled manpower for all segments of textile manufacturing starting from spinning to fabric finishing which include organized mill sector, power loom industry and handlooms. The purpose of establishing TSC is to facilitate the Industry to impart right kind of training to workers on state-of art technologies. It is expected that In the next 10 years, about 577 textile mills will be affiliated to TSC as Training partners to train and certify about 3,770 trainers and 11.6 lac skilled workforce in about 360 job roles.
TSC will be looking forward for active Involvement of all stakeholders to carry out these operations and more Importantly enable them to derive monitory benefits from state and central government funded skill development schemes. We invite proposals from textile manufacturing industries in weaving, spinning, knitting, processing and handloom sector and various Research Association to be associated with TSC in achieving its objectives.
