Taking cognizance of the current line of thought of MSDE to conduct assessments through online means in near future, we are trying to explore the feasibility of online assessment for the textile sector. An obvious step for this requires formulating certain Standard Operating Procedures to facilitate practical assessment online. Apparently, not much challenge is seen for the online assessment for theory part based on MCQ kinds of questions. However, for the practical assessment it is seen as imperative to have physical activities performed by the candidates to be captured through video (live or offline). Further, capturing these activities required to adhere to certain specifications such as, length of video, proximity of shot to the body part which is the focus of an activity, angle of shot vis-a-vis the candidate posture etc. It is important that such standardization is done for each NOS of a job role so that intra-assessor evaluation errors can be kept at minimum and any biases in evaluation may be avoided.
To facilitate arriving at the right kind of standard way of capturing videos (evidence) we have devised two individual surveys for Mills Sector Job roles and Handloom Sector job roles, respectively. The information received through these two surveys will form the basis of formulating the SOP such that whoever is doing the proctoring for an assessment have a standard way of capturing the evidence. Such evidence will be used for the fair evaluation of the candidates as well as proof of assessment.
Hence we request you to submit the survey for as many job roles as possible. Please note that one survey needs to be submitted exclusively for one job role and any number of . a survey can be submitted using the below two links.
