Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 is a flagship scheme launched by the Government of India to provide skill training to the youth and help them secure better employment opportunities. The scheme aims to provide industry-relevant training to the candidates, focusing on new-age and disruptive technologies.
PMKVY 4.0 will be soon launched under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and will be implemented through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and its allied partners. The scheme is designed to cater to the skill requirements of different sectors.
PMKVY 4.0 has two components – Special Project (SP-STT) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Under SP-STT, candidates will undergo skill training for a duration of hours mentioned in the Qualification Pack, and under RPL, candidates will be assessed and certified for their existing skills.
Special Project: PMKVY 4.0 Special Projects is an initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 scheme launched by the Government of India. The Special Projects aim to provide skill training to candidates in specific sectors that require special attention and skill development.
The training provided under these projects will be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the respective sectors, and the curriculum will be developed in collaboration with industry experts.
The PMKVY 4.0 Special Projects will focus on skill training in areas such as emerging technologies, soft skills, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy, among others. The training will be provided through a network of industry partners, who will be selected based on their expertise and experience in the respective sectors.
The Special Projects initiative aims to provide skill training to around 1 lakh candidates, focusing on providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to secure better employment opportunities and contribute to the growth of the respective sectors.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): The RPL component aims to certify the existing skills of candidates who have acquired them informally or through on-the-job training.
The PMKVY 4.0 RPL scheme is designed to benefit a wide range of candidates, including those who have dropped out of school, those who have acquired skills through on-the-job training, and those who have acquired skills informally. The scheme will also benefit those who want to upgrade their skills or switch to a different industry.
The certification provided under this scheme will help candidates secure better employment opportunities, and the skills they possess will be recognized by potential employers, leading to better career prospects.
