It is with pleasure that we invite you to NSDC’s Partners Meet on the 4th of October 2018. The theme of the conference is “Transforming India – Empowering Youth for Inclusive Growth”. This meet is expected to provide a platform for all the stakeholders including Ministry of Skill Development, NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, Training Partners to get together and delve upon the opportunities and challenges in the current skill development landscape.
India is a young country, with more than 50% of its population aged 25 years or below and 62% aged 15-59 years and has a unique opportunity to become the primary global source of a skilled workforce. How should we prepare to become the ‘skill capital’ of the world? How should we utilize our favorable demography and create a skilled workforce for the world? At the same time, we must also ensure a skilled and employable workforce that is ready for the future world of work. The advent of advanced technologies – such as automation, AI, big data, IoT and cloud computing – and disruptive trends in business are having a profound impact on the jobs and skills landscape. Preparing for the changing nature of job roles and for redundancies is critical. These would be few of the many interesting themes that would be discussed at the meet. The detailed agenda is as follows:-
