Textile Sector Skill Council

The main function of the committee is to make sure that the quality of training provided by the training providers (textile mills) is of high standard. To ensure this, TSC has prepared two protocols as per NSDC guidelines. The first protocol specifies the minimum infrastructure required in a training centre and the second specifies the criteria to select Assessing Agencies (AA) to assess the trainees after completing their training. These AAs will also periodically audit the training providers for their performance.

The main functions of the committee are to oversee the processes of giving affiliation to the training providers and accreditation to AAs. The committee will also look into the issues/suggestions (if any) received from stakeholders on matters pertaining to 3As. In short, the committee will ensure supply of well trained skill manpower to the industry.

Functions :

Give recommendation to TSC Board
- whether a particular Mill is eligible to be TP or not
- whether a particular AA is eligible to be accredited or not
To monitor and audit reports given by AAs
To monitor certificates issued to the trainers
